"The present moment is the perfect teacher." | Pema Chodron
and i am FOREVER the willing student!:-)
there are MANY things i love about blogging... particularly this MDO incarnation! here i can openly share, purge & ponder my way thru my spiritual journey with the benefit of having beautiful souls {in the midst of their own personal journeys} engage with me.
kelly & mahala recently commented to the original post 'this Buddhist stuff' & their thoughts have given me reason to pause... like so often y'alls comments do!
mahala - i appreciate the gentle reminder that character is not built through ease & patience is not obtained by embracing the already enlightened. recently while sitting with my Teacher Gen Mondrub, that 'truth' was confirmed {just as it was with your post}. by being who they are, they allow me the opportunity to grow into the person i am meant to be... they are indeed... great 'treasures'.
kelly - your perspective of just 'simply being' is a new one for me {a gal forever on the move!} but there is merit in being at peace with the present & yes mahala... in allowing your roots to dig deeper by coming to what appears to be a complete stop. amazing how the simplest action can produce the greatest effect. thank you.
i am thankful that with each day i am encountering new {and welcomed} life lessons. i am taking nothing for granted. i am listening.
Peace & OM!:-)
