Simplicity...

i am always seeking life's balance... seeking to be in harmony with my being, my 'flow' & the people/things that surround me. i thrive on simplicity & recognize that it doesn't take a lot of lofty words or 'deep' thoughts to convey a true message.

The Power of Prophecy...

Almost 16 years ago while attending a church gathering, I was picked-out of a large group of people & received a 'prophecy' from the minister leading the service.

At the time I remember thinking how 'phenomenal' this was & how 'special' I must be to have GOD speak to ME!

But what escaped me at the time but later became all too real is the heaviness of being privy to your divine life-plan. The ownership that such knowledge calls for & the impact those few words would have in my life, I did not realize then & even still now, am learning to live {and struggle} with.

That day, this woman who did not know me personally, spoke to me of my heart. The questions of why I always seemed to wander back into the 'world' & what my life's purpose was were answered. Paths that I would cross were told to me. My life's mission… answered. She spoke of specific details that she could not know naturally & my heart recognized that I was hearing truth. I can still hear her voice...

Over the years I have had divination {another form of prophecy} performed in several other variations but no matter the channel or communicator, the message has always been EXACTLY the same {which has done nothing but confirm to me that the Creator can & does communicate truth through various 'channels' & that 'spirituality' is not specific to 'religion'}.

Of everything told to me that day, the most significant warning that I received was that no matter what my career choice or path, I should never stop 'feeding' or helping people… that that is where my blessings in life come from. That should I stop that, my blessings would cease as well.

So now atleast 8 years removed from the non-profit jobs that brought me both heartache & satisfaction, as I sit here @ my 'cushy', well-paying IT job, my Spirit is nudging me saying… "Nope Mechie… you have more to do. Your work is not finished!"

I can feel a new journey taking root people… I can feel me {once again} returning to my PURPOSE!

how appropriate this quote is for today as i think of my own personal 'life issues' & my concern for two close friends who are each experiencing loss/health troubles with a parent.

i am thankful for having both in my life... grateful that the Creator has blessed me with love, in many forms, in my life... optimistic that my relationships, friendships & family will all continue to grow... hopeful that all will continue to renew themselves, over & over again...

the older i get the less important the differences... the quarrels... the arguments to win... i want to find value in my relationships & i want the people in my life to KNOW that they are loved & accepted by me...

more so now than ever, i am dedicated to the cause of making PEACE, not WAR because i know that without love i would not survive... and i NEVER intend to live a life that is not overflowing with it!
